2009 Ch'uuis Beach cleanup crew

In September of 2009 a team of Wilderness Committee staff and volunteers went on a weekend expedition to Ch'uuwis Beach, on Kennedy Lake in Clayoquot Sound. We were there to help the Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Park folks clean up this popular unregulated campsite. Several hundred kilograms of recyclables and garbage was collected and removed. Ch'uuwis Beach is an important gateway to the Tla-o-qui-aht's Ha'uukmin Tribal Park.
