Stop Waste Incineration in the Lower Mainland

Metro Vancouver (formerly the GVRD) is considering a proposal to build six garbage incinerators (some times called Waste-to-Energy by the industry) in communities across the Lower Mainland. Our local politicians are under pressure from the incineration lobby who tell them that they can make "green energy" by burning our garbage. It is up to us to let them know that we don't want these facilities in our neighborhoods and remind them if something seems to good to be true it probably is.

Please take a few minutes to write a letter to the Waste Managment Committee of Metro Vancouver Board and Environment Minister Terry Lake.
