On October 24th, join thousands of people in Vancouver demanding Canada be a world climate leader.
Climate change is already having a profound impact on our environment, our economy, and our society, and the impact is growing. We need our governments to take real climate action that includes better transportation solutions for everyone.
On October 24th over 1,700 events will take place in 141 countries calling for their governments to take meaningful action on climate change. This December world leaders will meet in Copenhagen, Denmark to discuss the future of the Kyoto Protocol—the international treaty to reduce the greenhouse gases which cause global warming.
On October 24th, let’s get together and send our leaders a message: it’s time for real climate action. We need better transportation solutions for a climate-friendly world.
At 11 am the Cambie Bridge is closed to traffic and open to the public. At Noon there will be a welcoming ceremony and call for action at the peak of the bridge, and at 12:30 we'll start the parade to Science World. Cyclists will gather on the NORTH end of the bridge and lead the parade to Science World along Pacific Boulevard.
At 2 pm , after the parade, we'll come together at Science World for workshops, food, performance, movies and more.
At 7 pm, head over to Christ Church Cathedral for inspirational speakers.
To get involved in this event and our campaign to deal with causes of climate change please join our Action List.
