Volunteer

Thursday, February 5, 2009 (All day)

From the time the Wilderness Committee began in 1980, volunteers have played a key role. Our successes couldn't have been achieved without the help, energy and skills of our volunteers. The Wilderness Committee is a citizen-funded charitable organization and every day, people of all ages and  backgrounds help us preserve more and more of Canada's wilderness and help build healthy, sustainable communities.

Volunteers can donate their time, skills and energy to a variety of projects and activities through our Vancouver office. Our Volunteer Program is designed to provide volunteers an opportunity to get involved in the Wilderness Committee’s campaigns. By helping out, volunteers can learn through first-hand experience that perseverance and dedication makes all the difference when preserving wilderness and helping promote healthy, sustainable communities.

All volunteers are provided with instructions, training and support that makes volunteering with the Wilderness Committee a satisfying and fulfilling experience.

Volunteers can get involved in all kinds of the different volunteer work and get the chance to participate in many of the Wilderness Committee’s campaigns. Learn about our campaigns and issues by helping out in the office and out in the field.
