Last chance for public comment on the Raven Coal Mine

We have just 4 days to flood the Environmental Assessment Office with letters opposing the Raven Coal Mine. We need you to add your voice to the hundreds of people who have already taken action.

On June 27th, public comment closes. This is our window of opportunity to raise concerns, and to demonstrate just how much public opposition there is.

Your letter can make the difference in the fight to stop Raven Coal. We here at the Wilderness Committee have been able to use the Environmental Assessment process to stop projects many times.

The Environmental Assessment rarely turns down a project, but public scrutiny can slow down and kill projects like Raven Coal. We have seen it happen at the Upper Pitt, at Bute Inlet, at Glacier Howser. All of these bad projects were turned back because thousands of people wrote and participated in environmental assessment public comments.

Your letter can make all the difference. We have until June 27th to reach our goal of 2000 letters. We are 700 away. If you have already written, please circulate to your friends, family and coworkers.

This process can make a difference. And with your help it, we will stop the proposed Raven Coal Mine before it ever starts.
