This is part three of a three part, 30 minute, 1992 slide show video about the Fools Gold hiking route that winds through the Pinecone Burke wilderness area, located 40 kilometres north east of Vancouver. The video was produced as part of the Wilderness Committee's campaign to save the Pinecone Burke wilderness area from logging. In 1995 the entire area was protected in the newly designated Pinecone Burke Provincial Park.
This organization is admirable in its committment to protection of these sacred wild spaces and in its effective and respectful collaboration with Native people and other environmental groups. I would highly encourage others to get involved with this amazing organization !
