This is a short 2003 TV news story about sea lice from BC salmon farms killing young wild pink salmon.
A number of organizations, including the Wilderness Committee organized a protest in front of the Federal Department of Fisheries calling for BC's salmon farms to be shut down, to protect the wild salmon runs.
The Wilderness Committee is the most grassroots environmental organization I have ever encountered. I have taken part in several projects where volunteers were in charge and staff in a support role. It's very empowering, and I have also made friends for life.
