Secrets of Clayoquot Sound

Wilderness Committee event
Thursday, March 1, 2012 - 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Updated and revised!

Join sea kayakers Dan Lewis and Bonny Glambeck of Tofino for an unforgettable journey through the natural beauty of Clayoquot Sound.

Learn about the ecology of the region’s globally significant ancient rainforests, and how industrial activity threatens this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Up to date information on open-pit mining, fish farms and the on going logging of ancient forest.

The couple are seasoned naturalists and expedition sea kayakers who have paddled most of the BC coast. They will share stories about their adventures at home in Clayoquot Sound, and show images from some of BC’s leading outdoor photographers. Join us for an entertaining, informative and inspiring evening.
