Catchacoma Forest wetland walk
Celebrate Earth Day weekend with the Wilderness Committee and Catchacoma Forest Stewardship Committee with a hike in the Catchacoma old-growth forest wetlands in Peterborough County.
Get updated on our efforts to protect this rare and unique forest, including vital wetlands, from logging. Learn about and practice protocols for monitoring spring frog calls.
Led by Katie Krelove, Wilderness Committee Ontario campaigner, with special guest Cayla Darling, wetland technician with Blazing Star Environmental, B.SC. in Conservation Biology from Trent University.

Location: Meet at parking lot off county road 507, 2km north of Catchacoma Marina in Peterborough County

- Rough terrain, not stroller or wheelchair accessible
- No washrooms on site

- Water and snacks
- Binoculars and recording device for frog calls if possible
- Water-proof rain boots are highly recommended. Dress for the weather
