Celebrate Earth Day Eve with us!

Join the Wilderness Committee and Patagonia Toronto for a screening of Conserving Catchacoma in honour of Earth Day.

This short documentary profiles community efforts to protect a rare old-growth hemlock forest on Crown land in southern Ontario from logging.

The free screening will include a Q&A with film producer Mitch Bowmile, Wilderness Committee Ontario Campaigner Katie Krelove, and old-growth ecologist Dr. Peter Quinby and a raffle to raise funds for Catchacoma Forest protection efforts.

We respectfully acknowledge that Catchacoma Forest is located on the Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig territory and in the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which include: Curve Lake, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scugog Island, Rama, Beausoleil and Georgina Island First Nations.

The screening is being held in Toronto, ie: Tkaranto, which is the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, Anishnaabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee and Wendat nations.
