Despite evidence that LNG extraction and export has negative environmental impacts and the fact that global economic conditions for LNG are weak, the BC government remains determined to turn the province into a major gas exporter.

From the extraction process (fracking) to the pipeline and tanker export schemes to the burning of this fossil fuel, LNG is bad news for our communities and our climate.

Join us next week to hear from Dr. Finn and other experts and community leaders and learn more about the dangers the LNG industry poses, particularly here in Victoria. Wilderness Committee staff will be on hand to tell you more about our campaign to stop fracking and LNG in BC.
