24 hours for boreal caribou

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Last week we encouraged you to write letters about the federal government’s path for caribou.
We have only 24 hours left to provide comment on the draft strategy.

It’s as simple as this: boreal woodland caribou need big chunks of intact forest, but the current strategy is just not going to give them that. Let’s make sure the government of Canada puts out a final strategy that gives all caribou a chance to live in big, intact forests.

So far across Canada, tens of thousands of Canadians have raised their voice. Please visit our letter writing tool now and send in a message. If you’ve already written a letter, thank you. Take the time to forward this email to two more family members or friends, so that they too can have their say.

And finally, if you need, here’s some cuteness to convince you to act. Here is a picture of our little caribou in Manitoba at a national caribou conference last year.

Please write for our ‘bou right now.
