The BC Forest Practices Board has released a report about the provincial government's performance in protecting stands of old growth forest. The board found in many cases the BC government does not know what forest stands have been protected and some stands actually are not protected at all - having been left alone voluntarily by the timber company logging in the area.
The Wilderness Committee continues to call for a ban on all old growth logging in BC.
