Chehalis Valley

There's a desperate race in the forests of southwest BC to locate the last spotted owl forests. Logging companies want to cut them down and many other people just want to see these beautiful forests protected. There is thought to be one last wild born spotted owl and several captive raised spotted owls still living in the forests in the southwest mainland of BC all in the Salish territories. Once there were 500 pairs but a century of clearcut logging has almost wiped them out. Come along with us to the Chehalis Valley on a search for a spotted owl forest that is facing the chainsaw right now.
