Environmental groups to announce fracking lawsuit tomorrow morning

VANCOUVER — Ecojustice, on behalf of Sierra Club BC and the Wilderness Committee, is filing a lawsuit at the B.C. Supreme Court tomorrow, alleging that the province’s Oil and Gas Commission is violating the Water Act. The lawsuit also names Encana Corporation.
Immediately following the filing, the groups will hold a press briefing on the terrace outside the Provincial Court to describe the lawsuit and answer questions.
