Narrows Inlet Environmental Assessment

Friday, October 12, 2012

This is a seven minute On The Ground Report from the Wilderness Committee's Joe Foy about the BC Environmental Assessment open house meeting held in Egmont on October 12, 2012. The meeting was to let people know about a proposed private hydro power project that would dam and divert a cluster of streams and lakes in the Narrows Inlet area of BC's Sunshine Coast. The Wilderness Committee opposes such projects because of their high environmental and social costs and because BC does not need this kind of intermittent, unreliable, low value electricity.
