Paddling the Peace: Why Site C Dam really does suck.

Monday, July 12, 2010

The Site C Dam project will destroy a very special valley in the Northeast corner of BC called the Peace River. This beautiful valley is a key migratory corridor for grizzly bears, elk, and moose, and home to several threatened species - like the bull trout. The project will destroy this, and flood valuable agriculture lands, and peoples homes. I got to learn all about this during a recent paddle trip down the Peace. This is the story of my adventure, and the people whose livelihood will be destroyed if this project happens.
