Press conference before company-hosted dinner in opposition to Hudbay’s Reed Mine

WINNIPEG – This evening, the Wilderness Committee will be joining the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation (MCCN) and supporters for a press conference before a private dinner and information session hosted by mining corporation Hudbay, in order to show opposition to the company’s proposed Reed Mine in Grass River Provincial Park.

WHAT: Hudbay is hosting an invite-only information session and dinner event targeting individuals who have expressed concern over the Reed Mine project. The Wilderness Committee is standing in solidarity with the MCCN in opposition to the Reed Mine, and is calling for a ban on mining in Manitoba’s provincial parks.
