Rivers at Risk Tour Kootenay Country

Monday, June 16, 2008

This is a video of a presentation made by the Wilderness Committee's Joe Foy about the rush to dam and divert BC's wild rivers by private hydro-power companies. Foy was on a road tour in BC's Kootenay country to promote the idea of keeping BC's rivers wild and power production, owned by the public. Kootenay river systems such as Glacier and Howser Creeks were being targeted for hydro-power production and Foy spoke about what the public could do to protect them.
