Turning over public forests to corporate interests? No thanks!
May 22, 2014
On Thurs. May 22, the Wilderness Committee's National Campaign Director Joe Foy made a submission in Vancouver to the panel headed by professional forester Jim Snetsinger (former BC Chief Forester) regarding the BC government's proposed expansion of area-based forest management. These area-based tenures, also known as Tree Farm Licences or TFLs, would essentially give corporate logging interests more control over BC's public forest lands.
