TV News Story - Metro Vancouver votes to request a delay of Site C Dam

Friday, July 03, 2015

Victoria is being asked to step in to delay construction of the Site C Dam in BC’s Peace Region until the project can be reviewed by the BC Utilities Commission (BCUC) and the Agricultural Land Commission (ALC).

Today the Metro Vancouver Board voted in favour of asking the premier for a construction delay, after a delegation of northern community reps, First Nation leaders, environmental spokespeople and farmland experts urged the board to write a letter to the premier calling for further review of the proposed dam. The Wilderness Committee's Joe Foy is one of the speakers featured in this story.
