A rally was held in Burnaby BC in solidarity with the protestors at the White House who are facing arrest for their opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline. The BC rally took place around the Kinder Morgan oil tanker terminal which the company has stated they would like to expand along with their pipeline that runs from the tar sands in Alberta to Canada's west coast.
Organizers said "wherever big oil companies try to expand the tar sands with this kind of infrastructure we will be there to say no. From BC to DC we are standing up against unsustainable and irresponsible tar sands development."
