Vote for the Environment Public Forum
WINNIPEG – The Wilderness Committee, West Coast Environmental Law and the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg are co-hosting a public event this Thursday to engage citizens in an important discussion about Canada’s environmental laws.
WHAT: Canada's environmental laws have been drastically weakened over the past several years, resulting in serious impacts to the environment, public participation and Indigenous rights. This public forum will give participants a chance to learn about recent legislative changes and discuss what’s needed now to develop strong laws to safeguard our health, climate, nature and democracy.
