Wilderness Committee to unveil banner calling for protection of the Walbran Valley

VICTORIA – Representatives of the Wilderness Committee and other concerned citizens will unveil a large banner tomorrow morning to raise awareness and advocate for the protection of the Central Walbran Valley on southern Vancouver Island.
Controversial logging permits have been recently approved in the Walbran Valley, and the Wilderness Committee is calling on BC’s provincial government to rescind the permits and commit to a solution that protects the rare intact rainforest in the area.
