Beth (she/her) currently resides in Vancouver on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ territories.
Beth works with the Board of Directors to provide strategic direction and leadership to the organization. She supports strategic planning, engagement and governance, and oversees financial and human resources. She began working at the Wilderness Committee in 2010 because she was impressed with the social justice framework used to address environmental issues. She has worked for a variety of social justice non-profits in diverse sectors for more than 30 years. She has a Masters in Sociology and Social Studies focused on organizational and international development, and has worked in countries in Africa, Latin and South America. Hailing from the prairies, she enjoys spending time with her family in Saskatchewan or with her son's family in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. She is active in her housing co-op and is a highly skilled soccer mom.
