Cedar George-Parker (he/him) is from the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. Cedar started his pursuit for a cleaner, safer and brighter future for our world and environment in the fight against the Trans Mountain Pipeline. Now he brings his years of experience back here to his traditional territory where the Wilderness Committee’s head office is based (Vancouver). Cedar’s history and years of experience of work revolve around land, water and air protection, rooted in being part of many key projects around the world campaigning for mother earth and many different ecosystems, environments and waterways. From divestment and political awareness campaigns in Paris, France to representing his Indigenous Nations in the United Nations on many occasions, from allying with organizations and Indigenous Nations in the Amazon to standing with relatives in standing rock in the United States, from lecture halls and classrooms to legislative and capital buildings, Cedar’s voice, work and advocacy continues to be heard and witnessed.
