Em (she/her) currently resides in Victoria on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən territory

Em organizes events, co-ordinates volunteers, manages outreach & engagement and leads our Trail Program at the Wilderness Committee. She loves her work leading and organizing trail trips, supporting Indigenous communities to get their land back, and fighting for a just world that keeps ancient trees standing. Em grew up in Treaty 6 territory and has been passionate about environmental, social justice and animal welfare issues from a young age. This – along with her love of exploring new places – has taken her all around the world. Over the years, she has been involved in environmental justice and wildlife rehabilitation work and has been actively involved with many non-profit environmental organizations. She loves learning and has studied geography, environmental communication & education, and organic gardening. Some things that Em enjoys in life are cats, nature adventures, swimming/snorkelling, ancestry work, delicious food, nitty gritty conversations and exploring new places.
