Michael (he/him) currently resides in Victoria on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən territory.
After over a decade of door canvassing for the Wilderness Committee, from the traditional unceded territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) Peoples to those of the Coast Salish Peoples, Michael now focuses on coordinating new generations of canvassers to do the same. One of Michael’s favourite things about the organization is grassroots outreach — actual boots-on-the-ground meetings with people and direct conversations to raise awareness and inspire change. On countless occasions, he's observed how connecting with people in-person and offering opportunities to contribute to nature protection is deeply meaningful for them. Michael strongly believes environmental protection is a nonpartisan issue and he's passionate about supporting the Wilderness Committee’s efforts to reach beyond echo chambers and engage with everyone.
