Monalisa (she/her) currently resides in Vancouver on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ territories.

Monalisa began volunteering for the Wilderness Committee while completing her degree in Psychology at UBC and has been involved ever since. Monalisa works from the unceded Coast Salish Territories. She gained her accounting expertise while running her own company and continued to pursue further financial training and certification. She had her start in the birth of the Committee's accounting department in 1991, where she is now responsible for most aspects of the accounting system. Music, farming and escaping the city to the wild has always been a key part of her commitment to maintaining a healthy work/life balance, which is always a challenge. Being part of a team focused on educating people and protecting wildlife and wilderness has always inspired her to keep on keeping on with perseverance, determination and hope for a better world.
