Carmanah Valley Campaign - Phase II
Sunday, July 15, 1990
This is a 1990 Wilderness Committee education report about the campaign to protect the Carmanah Valley. The report was published just after the BC government had protected the lower half of the valley in the Carmanah Pacific Provincial Park - but left the upper valley open to logging. The report describes a research station that the Wilderness Committee built in the upper valley in order to carry on the fight to save the entire Carmanah Valley from being logged.
In 1994 the upper valley was included in an enlarged park now named the Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park. See our History and Achievements page.
