Monday, December 03, 1990
This is a 1990 Wilderness Committee education report that calls for an end to logging in the watersheds that supply the Vancouver area with drinking water. The report points out that logging was once banned to stop mudslides from entering the drinking water supply, but that the logging industry had successfuly lobbied to restart timber felling. In 2002 this campaign met with success when legislation was passed that bans logging in Vancouver's watersheds.
