Help Stop James Bay II & Kemano II

This is a 1990 Wilderness Committee education report about two proposed hydro-electric projects, one in BC and one in Quebec that would have been extremly damaging to the environment. Both were strongly opposed by the First Nations in whose territorries the proposed projects were situated.

The campaign met with success - first in 1994 when a major part of the James Bay II project known as Great Whale Hydro was cancelled by the government of Quebec. Then in 1995 when Kemano II was cancelled by the government of British Columbia.
