Sunday, March 15, 1992
This is a 1992 Wilderness Committee education report co-published with Tatshenshini Wild about the campaign to protect the Tatshenshini River from a massive proposed open pit copper mine. The report goes into some detail the environmental impacts that the proposed Windy Craggy Mine would have.
In 1994 the campaign to preserve the Tatshenshini met success with the creation of the Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park, which is 958,000 hectares in size. See our History and Achievements page.
