Today is the day – Juan de Fuca forests need your voice!

Tuesday, September 06, 2011

For the next two nights the fate of the Juan de Fuca forest lands rests in your hands.

The Capital Regional District is hosting a public meeting on the proposed bylaw amendments to allow a 260 vacation home development smack dab in the middle of the Juan de Fuca forest lands - just metres away from the third most visited provincial park in the province.

We can not let this happen. This development could set a dangerous precedent and open the flood gates to urban sprawl in the Juan de Fuca forest lands.

We need you to come to a public meeting at 5pm at Edward Milne community school on Tuesday or Wednesday night. We need a big crowd, and lots of people to get up to the mic and speak about the proposal by Marine Trail Resort.

Please attend a meeting, and circulate this notice to your friends and family.

5:00-10:00pm
Tuesday, Sept 6 AND Wednesday, Sept 7th
Edward Milne Community School, 6218 Sooke Road

Tuesday night will feature a BBQ feast hosted by Muir Creek Protection Society!

We can stop this project if we stand together.
